Gaskets Enveloped with PTFE are designed to address the growing problem of sealing in the most hostile chemical and temperature environments. National Unispares Group PERG combines the best qualities of two materials, PTFE on the outside with its chemical inertness and an elastomeric on the inside for resilience. This unique combination forms a highly effective, long lasting seal for the most demanding applications.PERG 850 Gaskets are available in over 60 standard crosssection sizes from 50 sq.mm to 1500 sq.mm. Standard PERG Gaskets are comprised of PTFE over Engineered Rubber Insert, and can be used in temperatures from -60° to +260°C depending upon the choice of elastomeric core.Encapsulated Gaskets are primarily used as a static seal(axial or radial).

7. FDA Compliance: The TEFLON® PTFE encapsulation of
the Gasket complies with part 177 of Title 21 of the Food
and Drug Administration’s regulations for safe use as articles
or components of articles for producing, manufacturing,
processing, preparing, treating, packing, transporting or
holding food in accordance with regulation 177.1550.
